Upon qualifying
after an apprentiship in the 80’s Arthur continued his studies, being a perfectionist he sort extra training
at Vidal Sassoon and polished his precision cutting skills to the highest
level.
With
confidence Arthur worked on his first film, Who
Needs A Heart a Channel Four Feature, heading the hair department at the
age of twenty.
Arthur has worked on Magazines
including The Face, and ID. He has had features in Hair and Beauty, Black Hair and Beauty
and was the Hair adviser for Afrodizziac.
Arthur’s love for fashion took him to
work on shows for Gianni Versace, Armani,
Alternative Hair Show, Chanel, Givenchy, Louis Vuitton to name but a few.
Searching for challenges Arthur worked
on various music videos and TV jobs like Top
Of The Pops working with various Artists. He then headed the hair
department for Channel 4’s Get Up Stand Up
for three successive seasons.
Arthur’s Hairdressing skills include all
hair types : Caucasian, Asian, Afro and Mixed Hair Types.
His skills cover: Research, Precision
Cutting, Dressing and cutting wigs, extensions and weaves, head-dressing with
fabrics, dressing hair-up, Colour, Hair straightening (Relaxers) and Perms.
As a consummate professional Arthur
completed a Classic Cutting course in 2008.
Arthur has been freelancing for most of his working life. He is a true professional, dedicated to doing his best work may it be in the media or in a private one-to-one client base.
